Sheela Kamath (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 117449). Her clinical approach is trauma-focused, culturally inclusive, and informed by her experiences as a 1.5-generation Indian American woman. Since earning her MA in counseling psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, Sheela has worked primarily in community mental health, seeing clients coping with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, family conflict, alcohol and substance abuse, work stress, and serious mental illness. Sheela believes the therapeutic relationship is collaborative, and she utilizes CBT, DBT, mindfulness, narrative, and psychodynamic therapies with compassion and cultural sensitivity. She provides online therapy to adults and teens throughout the state of California.
